"ESREVER" The Backwards Video

"ESREVER" Backwards Video

This is a quick video I made of things happening backwards such as paper tearing, water being coloured, bread burning and glass smashing. I even had a go at making the music this one myself!

I made it mostly to test the waters at Metacafe and see what would become popular. It didn't do as well as I'd hoped, a quick tutorial I made about moving the My Documents folder in Windows XP actually did better and was quite dodgy, far easier to make and less artistic.

Hi Sameer,

I made this video by filming things normally with a MiniDV camcorder. I then put the footage in Adobe Premiere. You can right click on any clip and change the speed, to make the clip play backwards you simply make the speed change negative. -100% makes the clip play at normal speed backwards.
Premiere does this automatically, but you will need to deinterlace your clip if your program does not.
To make the slow reverse clips, I used the Deinterlaced Slow Motion method which I have posted in the Tutorials section of this site, and then reversed the slow motion clips.

Unfortunately, I can't find anything free which will reverse a DV clip for you, I know Windows Movie Maker can't do it. What editing program do you use?

I hope that helps!
