RED One Sensor Upgrade Program

RED One's image sensor
In addition to all the recent RED news, it was announced today that the sensor exchange program, which lets RED One users swap their existing Mysterium sensors for the new Mysterium-X sensors, will begin on Friday January 22. The upgrade will cost exiting RED One owners $5750 and includes the new sensor, sensor boards and upgraded optical low pass filter. They'll even throw in a RED Rocket card for an extra $3000, a saving of $1750. The Mysterium-X sensor's main advantages are an increased resolution of 4.5K and improved low light performance. ISO 800 on Mysterium-X is rumoured to look as good as ISO 320 on Mysterium.
