Romain Tardy has converted a $25
IKEA "Ivar" side unit into a rails for his cinema dolly. The units come in either 12" or 20" gauge with a length up to 2.2 metres. Unfortunately details about the design of the platform are nill but it looks like he's using rollerblade wheels attached to standard brackets some other piece of furniture as the platform. Judging by the
video below shot on the Canon 7D, it looks pretty effective.
