Wow...that's just incredible. That 617 Monstro sensor! 18.6 x 5.6cm! I'm liking the 3D rig, too.
Can't wait to see films shot with these.

Comment by Andrew on ESREVER: The Backwards Video

Hi Sameer,

I made this video by filming things normally with a MiniDV camcorder. I then put the footage in Adobe Premiere. You can right click on any clip and change the speed, to make the clip play backwards you simply make the speed change negative. -100% makes the clip play at normal speed backwards.
Premiere does this automatically, but you will need to deinterlace your clip if your program does not.
To make the slow reverse clips, I used the Deinterlaced Slow Motion method which I have posted in the Tutorials section of this site, and then reversed the slow motion clips.

Unfortunately, I can't find anything free which will reverse a DV clip for you, I know Windows Movie Maker can't do it. What editing program do you use?

I hope that helps!

You might want to be careful, Australian law in regards to privacy is very different from US.

Point 1 and 5 in particular. Australian Shopping Centres have different rules...

Comment by simon on RED To Unveil 2K Camera "Scarlet" at NAB

Of course the real camera to look out for is the canon xlh2 which will have 3 2/3 chips AND a fantastic lens. Doubt if the red lens will be the same. Also Panasonic has it's hvx300 out. Their camera also has 2/3 chips and is much lighter than the hvx and the ex1 which you had to support with te other hand. Probably the prices of those camera's will drop after these releases. the hvx300 will be for release before christmas. The other ones directly after nab

the 3d button is handy for game developers. This will be a major camera for the game industry. At the moment the action movies are simply trailers for new games. More business in that.
I heard it will be around 6000$ and has a 2/3 chip
